Hello there to all members, friends and supporters of Quest Birmingham & West Midlands. I hope you are all happy, well & having a great start to 2015.
The next event is one of 3 masses this year for LGBT Catholics, their family & friends. The masses will all take place at 2pm in the Lady Chapel at St Catherine’s of Siena, Bristol St, Birmingham, B5 7BE. The next date is Saturday 21st February. There will also be masses on Saturday 20th June and Saurday 17th October, which will be confirmed soon.
There were 9 of us at the last Quest Birmingham & West Midlands event on Saturday 24th January, which was a visit to Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery. It was educational, thought provoking & stimulating. We had drinks and cakes in the Victorian Tea Rooms after.
I look forward to meeting you over the winter, spring, summer & autumn. If you know anyone who you believe would be interested in attending an event, please feel free to share this information with them.
If you want to know more about Quest & perhaps consider joining our charitable organisation, then please visit our website. This is the Quest website address: http://questgaycatholic.org.uk
Please always feel free to ask me questions, give positive or negative feedback, or offer suggestions for future events. If anyone is willing to offer their home for an event, then that would be very much appreciated. If you want to discuss &/or talk to me about a personal matter, the best time is in the evenings or at the weekend. I work Monday-Friday 9am-5pm in Leamington Spa, Warks.
God bless & best wishes, Tony Di Mambro

We will explore Lichfield & its monuments, especially its magnificent Cathedral. We will have lunch somewhere suitable, at a restaurant, cafe or pub. If there is anywhere else in Lichfield that you would like to visit, then please tell Greg & I. Are there any museums, historical places etc that interest anyone in particular?
Saturday 18th April. Visit to The Barber Institute of Fine Arts, Birmingham. The meeting time will be confirmed soon.
Saturday 16th May, 10.30am-5.30pm; Day of recollection, peace, quiet & Reflection; Manresa House, 10 Albert Road, Harborne, Birmingham, B17 0AN. Cost per person: £5 & own packed lunch
Please inform me as to whether you are coming or not, if you haven’t already. There will be a period of personal reflection during the morning and afternoon that will include at least an hour of peaceful silence in one’s own space, whether in a particular room or chapel upstairs in the house, or the expansive gardens. People are free to choose what to reflect on. Some options will be provided for those who would like other ideas. There will be a theme for the day, which will be about how we regard our spirituality being both gay and catholic, which will be gentle and informal. We will need to bring £5 each as a donation for the Jesuits for having the use of a large room, kitchen for making hot drinks & the dining room for eating our packed lunch, which we all need to bring. There will be about 30 minutes for sharing & discussion during the morning and afternoon, after each hour of silence, if people wish to do so. Please bring any readings, poems, reflections or music you wish to share with others during the morning or afternoon. Hopefully, there will be a priest available to celebrate mass with us at the end of our day. We’ll have tea & coffee after the mass before we leave here.
